SPOKANE, Wash., August 24, 2015 – As forestland recreationalists look to the traditionally active Labor Day weekend and upcoming hunting season, Potlatch Corporation is reminding the public that Potlatch lands in Idaho remain closed to all recreational activity. The current closure commenced on July 14th due to unprecedented dry mid-summer conditions. The forests have continued to become only  drier and the fire risk has increased to levels not seen for decades. The closure will remain in effect until further notice.

Authorized company employees and contractors will continue to be allowed access for harvesting and other management activities and will  operate in accordance with restrictions imposed by the State of Idaho.
